American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience and active TN or Compact RN licensure.

Works on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center
-
Serves a patient population of all ages across a combined medical/surgical telemetry setting

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
36-hour work week
-
Every other weekend required, with additional weekend hours as needed
-
On-call requirements apply as needed

Floating to similar Med/Surg units is possible as needed

Meditech EHR in use
-
Omnicell used for medication dispensing
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license) required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required, must be obtained prior to start

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required

IV insertion experience required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays

Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

The facility is checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start — results required before the start date
