About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, high-energy assistant general manager to lead operations at a well-established, locally loved fast casual restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in guest experience, and knows how to build and retain a strong team.
What You'll Do
Operations & Service
- Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations from open to close, ensuring smooth service, food quality, and a consistent guest experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that meets all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships to control food and beverage costs
- Ensure proper execution of the made-to-order service model, including line efficiency and ticket times during peak hours
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a team of exceptional and energized employees
- Create weekly schedules that balance labor cost targets with adequate coverage
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing coaching to keep the team motivated and aligned
- Handle performance reviews, corrective actions, and employee relations with professionalism and consistency
Financial Management
- Own the restaurant's P&L, with accountability for hitting sales, labor, and food cost targets
- Analyze weekly and monthly financial reports and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Manage cash handling procedures, deposits, and daily reconciliation
Guest Experience
- Model and enforce a culture of hospitality — every guest, every visit
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, both in-person and through online review platforms
- Drive loyalty and repeat traffic through community presence and local engagement
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of Quick Service (QSR) General Manager or assistant general manager experience
- Proven track record of developing teams and reducing turnover
- Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L management and cost controls
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example on the floor
- Food Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent) required or the ability to obtain
- Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High level of integrity and respect for others
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
