Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to various job sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent route planning skills, and the ability to load and unload materials as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, or construction debris to designated locations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the dump truck to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on various routes.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and material transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist in loading and unloading freight when required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving dump trucks or similar vehicles
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of route driving and logistics management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
