Mighty Oak Christian Counseling, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Billing & Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. This position will work collaboratively with the Office Manager and play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the practice through effective billing, denial management, appeals, and revenue cycle oversight.
Position Details
- Part-time, 20 hours per week

- Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Increased compensation consideration for candidates with credentialing experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Follow up on denied and rejected insurance claims
- Investigate claim issues and implement corrective actions
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance appeals
- Manage accounts receivable and aging reports
- Monitor and improve revenue cycle performance
- Identify billing trends and recommend solutions to reduce denials and maximize reimbursement
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, appeals, and payment issues
- Collaborate with the Office Manager to support practice operations and financial goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or medical billing
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance and Medicaid billing
- Demonstrated success with appeals, denial management, and claims follow-up
- Experience with revenue cycle management and accounts receivable recovery
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time role
Credentialing Experience Highly Preferred
Candidates with experience in:
- Provider credentialing and recredentialing
- CAQH profile management
- Insurance panel enrollment
- Provider enrollment and contracting
- Maintaining payer credentialing requirements
will receive special consideration. Compensation may be adjusted within the posted range based on demonstrated credentialing expertise and experience.
