OVERNIGHT PRN/RN 11PM-3/4AM
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile PRN/Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care across a variety of healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set, including experience in acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics. This role offers flexible scheduling to meet the needs of our patient, ensuring high-quality nursing services are done with professionalism and compassion. The PRN/ RN will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare teams by delivering comprehensive assessments, administering medications if needed and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories.
- Administer medications if needed.
- Assist with complex procedures such as suctioning.
- Manage patient care plans including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those in memory or behavioral health settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care in outpatient or inpatient environments.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Participate in infection control practices, laboratory specimen collection, and diagnostic evaluations to support comprehensive patient care.
- Adapt to various clinical environments including hospital medicine, urgent care centers, dialysis units, hospice settings, or assisted living facilities.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and medical documentation standards aligned with NCQA standards.
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to support accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Experience working with diverse individuals with disabilities.
