Seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant for a position with Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice in the Knoxville, TN area. Smoky Mountain is a locally owned home health and hospice company with 7 offices providing care to patients across East Tennessee.
Qualifications: Licensed in Tennessee as a Certified Nurse Assistant
Additionally:
- Must have completed successfully a course containing the following elements: communication, observation, report skills, documentation of patient status, obtaining and recording vital signs, infection control, elements of bodily functions, changes to be reported, maintenance of a clean healthy environment, medical emergency response, physical/emotional/developmental needs, total hygienic care, transfers ambulation, ROM, positioning, nutrition and fluid intake.
- Must be capable of performing all essential job functions identified.
- Has emotional and mental maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the patient, family and personnel.
- Must have one year's experience in a clinical setting.
Job duties include:
- Able to communicate appropriately with patients, co-workers and supervisor.
- Provides personal care: be able to lift, care, push or pull at least 50 lbs. or greater.
- Bathe, assess and provide special skin care, mouth care, hair care, shave (as assigned) and change bed linens.
- Performs such incidental household services as are essential to the patient's health care at home.
- Reports significant findings or changes to Clinical Manager.
- Assists with certain treatments as ordered by the physician and approved and supervised by the RN.
