Menorah Park of CNY is looking for RN Supervisors for our 7p-7a shifts.
We have Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem positions available.
BROAD RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall functioning of nursing service on their respective unit. Work involves managing the care of residents of their respective unit from admission to discharge. To work in collaboration and coordination with the resident, family members, physicians, members of the interdisciplinary team, supervisors, and staff to determine and achieve desired outcomes. To use independent judgement, initiative and problem-solving to achieve clinical outcomes with and through the team members. Managing staff which includes supervising and developing the skills of entry level, skilled and licensed personnel, evaluating team members recommending hiring and discipline up to and including termination, may conduct performance appraisals.; assessing workflow, implementation of new policies and procedures, investigation of complaints, attends committee meetings and conferences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a license to practice in New York State. One year of supervisory experience. Knowledge of general nursing theory standard of nursing practice and infection control practices, knowledge of and ability to supervise and manage personnel under his/her direction; knowledge in restorative and geriatric nursing, understanding of the needs and objectives of the nursing home; knowledge of related roles and functions of specialized therapies and departments. Incumbent will attend all required in-service education and training sessions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to transfer, lift, move and turn a resident to and from bed, wheelchair, Hoyer lift, toilet, tub and shower. Must be able to repetitively lift 26-50 pounds and push/pull 250 pounds.
Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
