Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to ensure an attractive shopping environment
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for team support roles
- Knowledge of cashiering procedures, retail math, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
