Duties
- Lead electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair activities on industrial and commercial construction sites, ensuring adherence to electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
- Interpret and review electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and maintenance processes.
- Manage teams of electricians by assigning tasks, supervising work quality, and ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex industrial electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage circuits.
- Install, test, and commission electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control panels, and other automation components.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices for construction renovation projects.
- Review blueprints for electrical drafting, interpret section drawings for precise installation, and verify blueprint accuracy before execution.
Requirements
- Valid license as a Master Electrician with comprehensive knowledge of electrical building codes such as NEC and NFPA 70.
- Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial and commercial environments with a strong background in electrical systems installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems including high voltage wiring, low voltage controls, schematics reading, and blueprint review for electrical drafting.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment like ohmmeters, and diagnostic devices for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience managing teams of electricians on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on safety procedures.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, circuit interpretation for building code compliance, and working with complex electrical schematics.
- Ability to interpret detailed blueprints for electrical drafting purposes while ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures related to working at heights, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and construction site protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform precise diagnostics on industrial electrical systems under tight deadlines.
