Duties
- Enforce municipal codes and property standards through inspections, citations, and follow-up investigations
- Collect, document, and preserve physical evidence from crime scenes following proper evidence handling procedures
- Conduct forensic investigations utilizing techniques such as fingerprint comparison, forensic photography, and crime scene analysis
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, evidence logs, and investigation reports with clarity and precision
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
- Proven experience in law enforcement or code enforcement roles with a strong understanding of procedural law and legal standards
- Demonstrated expertise in forensic investigation techniques including fingerprint analysis, crime scene investigation methods, and forensic photography
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining integrity throughout investigations
- Previous experience in code enforcement, law enforcement, evidence/property management, inspections, or a related field.
