Immediate Opening: Massachusetts Licensed Sprinkler Journeyman – Service & Repair
Starting Office Location: Manchester, NH
Service Area: Southern NH & Northern MA
Compensation: $45.00+/hr (Dependent on Experience) — Top-of-market pay
We are a family-owned, locally operated fire protection company focused on high-quality service, inspections, and long-term customer relationships. R.B. Lewis is seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Sprinkler Journeyman with a strong background in service, repair, and inspections to join our growing service team.
Compensation & Incentives
- Starting pay: $35.00+ per hour, based on experience
- Relocation reimbursement after 6 months or $2,500 signing bonus after 6 months
- Paid travel to most job sites from our Manchester office

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform service, repair, and inspection work on existing fire sprinkler systems
- Troubleshoot and repair system impairments, leaks, alarms, and deficiencies
- Conduct NFPA 25 inspections and testing of wet, dry, preaction, and deluge systems
- Identify code deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Complete accurate service reports, inspection documentation, and deficiency lists
- Communicate professionally with customers, building managers, and AHJs
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed
- Maintain company tools, vehicle, and jobsite safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Sprinkler Journeyman License (Preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25
- Proven experience in sprinkler service and repair (not just installations)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in occupied commercial buildings
- Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-facing communication
