Job Title: Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6–8)
Location: Jacksonville, FL – Discovery Campus
Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Contract
Salary: Starting at $51,000 (based on experience)
Global Leadership Academy is seeking a qualified and passionate Middle School Science Teacher to provide standards-based instruction and support student achievement in science. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, engage students in hands-on and inquiry-based learning, and use data to drive instruction while collaborating with staff and families to promote student success.
Deliver standards-aligned science instruction using Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
Develop and implement lesson plans that promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving
Facilitate hands-on experiments and interactive learning experiences
Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction and interventions
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and school staff
Participate in professional development and school meetings
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Valid Florida Teaching Certificate in Science (Grades 5–9 or 6–12)
Knowledge of science instruction and classroom management strategies
Strong organizational and communication skills
3+ years of teaching experience
ESOL Endorsement
Work Schedule-
Monday through Friday
8-hour shift
