Are you in? Primary Purpose:
The Sr. Quantitative Analyst, within the Grid Analytics department, plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s use of data and analytics to enable smarter, more reliable, and more resilient grid operations. This role focuses on translating advanced analytical models and data science solutions into scalable, production-ready tools that drive decision-making across business units and support grid modernization initiatives.
Working at the intersection of data science, analytics, and business strategy, the Sr. Quantitative Analyst partners with data scientists and operational stakeholders to operationalize models, integrate data across multiple systems, and deliver analytics solutions that generate measurable business value. This includes scaling analytics products across the enterprise and developing intuitive tools (e.g., Power BI dashboards, applications) that empower end users to act on insights.
The role requires strong quantitative and technical skills, combined with the ability to translate complex analytical concepts into practical, user-focused solutions that are sustainable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Primary Duties:
Leverage advanced knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and simulation techniques to develop solutions supporting grid reliability, asset health, and risk-informed decision-making (20%)
Integrate and analyze data from multiple systems and sources (e.g., AMI, SCADA, GIS, asset systems, enterprise platforms) to enable cross-functional insights and analytics use cases (15%)
Job Scope:
Works under minimal supervision, using experience and judgment to plan, prioritize, and execute complex analytical initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in quantitative field

4-7 years of relevant experience

Thorough understanding of applied and financial mathematics concepts and techniques (including advanced statistical techniques)

Ability to use a broad range of development languages (e.g. C/C++, Python, Perl, Matlab, etc.), and databases query languages

Ability to quickly master industry fundamental concepts including energy commodity markets, portfolio valuation, and system dynamics

Should be self-driven and able to work in (and lead) team sizes ranging from individual contribution to several members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline)
Familiarity with utility data sources such as AMI, SCADA, GIS, OMS, or asset systems

- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $95,200.00/Yr. – $130,900.00/Yr.
