Position Summary
The Racquet Sports Professional provides safe, high-quality instruction and programming across tennis, pickleball and padel. Primary role would serve the pickleball and padel areas. The role serves adults and juniors through lessons, clinics, camps, leagues, tournaments and social play while supporting player development, program participation and an exceptional member experience.
Primary Responsibilities

Deliver approved private lessons, clinics, camps, drills and group instruction using age- and level-appropriate fundamentals, strategy and

sportsmanship.

Support tennis, pickleball and padel programming; assist with player evaluation, placement and progression within approved pathways.

Prepare courts, lesson plans and equipment; arrive on time and maintain safe, organized teaching areas.

Support leagues, round robins, rated play, match play, tournaments, exhibitions, mixers and social events, including setup, check-in and

breakdown.

Record attendance and required program information accurately and promptly report conflicts, incidents, injuries, placement concerns or

program needs.

Build positive relationships with members, guests and parents; encourage participation and retention while maintaining confidentiality and

professional communication.

Coordinate with Program Leads, the Director of Racquets and operations staff regarding schedules, registrations and member

communication.

Follow DSRC policies, approved lesson and clinic procedures, staff training requirements and other reasonable leadership direction.
Qualifications

Playing, coaching or instructional experience in at least one racquet sport, with working knowledge of applicable rules, scoring, safety and

fundamentals.

Professional communication, dependability, sound judgment, organization and effective group-management skills.

Availability for assigned early-morning, evening, weekend and special-event programming.

Completion of required onboarding, background screening and Safe Play requirements.

Preferred: recognized teaching certification; adult and junior coaching experience; multi-sport competency; tournament or league
-
experience; and CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Physical & Performance Expectations
The employee must be able to work outdoors in changing conditions; stand and move for extended periods; demonstrate racquet-sport
movements; feed, retrieve and carry balls and equipment; communicate across active courts; and lift or move up to 30 pounds, with or without
reasonable accommodation. Success requires reliable attendance, punctuality, preparation, participant safety, instructional quality, accurate
reporting, professional service and compliance with DSRC standards.
