Family located in Brocton, NY is seeking a Special Needs Childcare Provider.
We're looking for a caring, dependable, and fun person to spend time with our son on occasional evenings and weekends. Days and hours are flexible and can work around your schedule, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for extra income without a set weekly commitment.
About the position:
We are seeking an exceptional caregiver to help support our 11 year old son. He is a happy boy with a rare genetic condition that includes being nonverbal and an intellectual disability. We’re looking for someone passionate about working within the special needs community and who genuinely values the unique and fulfilling experience this role offers. Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks (e.g., dressing, toileting, hygiene, meal preparation)
- Support the development of independence through daily activities
- Engage in stimulating activities to support learning and growth
- Maintain a safe and positive environment at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is a requirement
- NYS Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Experience working with children with special needs or a strong desire to learn
- Kind, patient, and trustworthy
- Comfortable with bathroom care
- Must pass a background check
Hours/Compensation:
- Competitive pay ($22 an hour)
