Description: Production Supervisor
Purpose: Supervise Production Department.
Reports to: Plant Superintendent
Conditions: Work on floor to manage Production, supervise Production staff, conduct audits and resolve Quality issues.
The Production Supervisor is Responsible for:
Production Department
-
Maintaining daily Production and labor inputs.

Coordinate daily planning and production schedules.
-
Training and supervising all non-maintenance employees and contractors.
-
Communicating interdepartmentally to accomplish common goals.
-
Driving efficiency of equipment at highest quality possible.
Employee Relations
-
Supervising Production staff including performance management and evaluations.
-
Cultivating positive work culture and demonstrating servant leadership.
-
Provide daily performance feedback, coaching and mentoring to Production Employees.

Review and manage disciplinary issues with Production Employees according to the Company’s progressive discipline policy.

Plan daily manpower assignments to maintain production and control labor cost.
Delivery and Work Focus

Regularly reviewing progress with the Plant Manager regarding goals of Executive Leadership.

Preserving the safety and integrity of the Company.

Leading employees toward continuous improvement in systems, equipment, and performance.
Safety and Quality
-
Enforcing Safety requirements within the facility.
-
Providing primary leadership to evaluate, correct and communicate quality issues.
-
Overseeing Safety of all personnel, evaluating and documenting all incidents and near misses.

Follow and support all food safety programs, policies and PPE as designated.

Ensure machine cleaning and zone housekeeping procedures are followed throughout the plant.

Serve and participate on the Safety Committee.

Perform all other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
Required Qualifications:
-
3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing (packaging environment a plus).
-
3+ years’ prior Supervisory experience.
-
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
-
Strong computer (MS Office) and communication skills (oral and written).
-
Strong continuous improvement mindset (Lean, 7S, Six Sigma)
-
Organized and detail oriented.
-
Excellent trouble-shooting skills for Quality issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Flexibility in hours to accomplish required objectives.
-
Understand the required compliance components for AIB, SFI and ISO.
-
Competent in the use of the company’s Amtech and Quality System software and processes.
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Management, Packaging, or related field.
