We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper & Custodial Associate to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of our properties.
This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule. We understand that great employees have different scheduling needs, and we are willing to work with the right candidate to create a schedule that supports both individual needs and business operations.
Position Summary
As a Housekeeping & Custodial Associate, you'll play an important role in preserving the high standards that set our properties apart. You'll help create clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environments for residents, tenants, customers, and guests while contributing to the overall experience of living and working within our communities.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and enjoys making a meaningful impact every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily property inspections to identify cleaning and presentation needs
- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, stairwells, elevators, entryways, lobbies, courtyards, and parking garages
- Prepare vacant apartments for incoming residents
- Vacuum, spot-clean, and shampoo carpets and rugs as needed
- Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, glass, and woodwork
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms
- Perform cleaning services in occupied units upon request
- Collect and dispose of trash and debris throughout the property
- Assist with seasonal projects and special cleaning assignments
- Help ensure all properties consistently reflect the quality and professionalism of the Old Sawmill District brand
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, tenants, vendors, and team members
- Previous custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
