Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula, engaging children in educational activities, and supporting their overall growth through effective classroom management and individualized attention. Experience with early childhood education, classroom management, and child welfare is essential to ensure a positive and enriching experience for our students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and positive behavior management.
- Facilitate activities that support childhood development milestones, including toddler care and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, ensuring smooth transitions between activities and maintaining discipline through appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and other evaluation tools; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding child welfare, progress, and any concerns related to individual needs or special education requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education and classroom management.
- Support children’s physical activity through teaching physical education and fostering motor skill development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development including literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods, and standardized testing procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to manage a classroom efficiently while fostering a positive learning environment that supports individual needs.
- Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field is highly desirable; experience working with special education or in private school settings is a plus.
- Passion for child welfare and commitment to creating an inclusive environment that promotes learning through play and exploration.
