What you’ll do
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and enthusiasm, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and drive sales, showcasing your culinary knowledge.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling practices at all times.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest relations.
- Experience with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is preferred.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively, contributing to overall sales goals.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for managing reservations is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or similar settings is highly desirable.
