Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other behavioral health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior plans and strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior plans and strategies developed by the BCBA
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or behavioral health needs requiered
- Current certification with the BACB is required
- Understanding of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum or other behavioral health needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
