Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with courtesy, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant offerings
- Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure smooth seating and timely service for all guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and seating arrangements to enhance overall guest experience
- Utilize restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to track reservations and seating status
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and billing processes
- Organizational skills to coordinate seating arrangements and manage guest flow effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is a plus
