The Office of the State Treasurer is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented Administrative Assistant who thrives in fast and slow paced environments, exercises sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, and enjoys managing a wide variety of responsibilities. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills are essential.
Location: This position is based in Bismarck, ND, with hybrid work opportunities available after the probationary period. Must be in office during legislative session.
Part-Time: 30 hours per week
Summary of Work
- Coordinate and oversee daily, monthly, and annual administrative operations to ensure efficient workflows and exceptional customer service.
- Manage administrative functions including financial support, records management, communications, ADA compliance, and IT coordination.
- Prepare, maintain, and process confidential records, correspondence, and documentation while ensuring compliance with state policies and records retention requirements.
- Verify and distribute state checks daily; maintain agency authorization records; serve as a resource for internal staff, state agencies, and the public.
- Support purchasing, printing, accounts payable, payroll, and HR functions.

Provide administrative support to the State Treasurer and Director of Finance.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

An associate degree and two years of experience in office support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and writing ability.

- Experience with Adobe Designer, PeopleSoft, and Teams
