The Continuous Improvement Analyst will observe current and reflect on possible future processes, looking for ways to reduce waste and variation, decease cost and streamline production by: refining and clarifying Operator Instructions, changing layouts of areas, performing time studies, measuring operator performance and output, calculating inventory levels of both WIP and Purchased parts, creating and optimizing Bill of Materials, and much more.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Observes current, and helps design possible future, processes looking for ways to improve them
- Performs time studies
- Measures and Reports operator performance and output
- Refines, clarifies, and creates Operator instructions and training materials, including videos
- Works with VP of Operations and QA Managers to review and update ISO materials
- Recommends changes to layout of manufacturing areas
- Updates necessary data entry, including inventory levels of both WIP and purchased parts
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ANDABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), specifically SolidWorks
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and its principles including DMAIC, Kaizen, Poka Yoke
- Basic understanding or familiarity of ERP/MRP systems, BOMs (Bill of Materials) and Databases
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and basic understanding of statistics
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt current way of thinking
- Great work ethic, detail oriented, and a drive to continually learn
