Job Summary:
The machining of automotive diesel engine parts according to established procedure and instructions.
Essential Functions:
- Perform machining process of industrial and automotive diesel engine parts while following all company instructions and guidelines.
- Use lift and hoist equipment to move engine blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, and parts.
- Use care and attention when handling engine components.
- Skillfully use hand, air and electric power tools in the machining process, if applicable.
- Skillfully use tightening tools such as torque wrenches and power angle drivers, during the machining process if applicable.
- Skillfully use typical measurement tools used in the machining process such as: micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Maintain attention to detail, and quality under varying circumstances.
- Maintain neat, clean, and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience/Training/Education:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Industrial and automotive engine parts.
- Basic computer skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of and experience with industrial, automotive engine components.
- Knowledge of and experience with automotive machining such as: engine block boring, cylinder head resurfacing, crankshaft reconditioning, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience in machining, and assembly of engines.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry weights up to 50 lbs.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm
