Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Catering Chef to assist with the preparation and execution of food for catered events. The Catering Chef works closely with the Catering Team to prepare high-quality meals, maintain kitchen organization, and ensure food is delivered and presented according to company standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist with food preparation for catered events, including chopping, cooking, baking, and plating.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage guidelines.
- Assist with loading, transporting, and setting up food for offsite catering events, when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Monitor food quality and portion control to ensure consistency.
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared timely so that events run smoothly.
Skills & Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and food presentation.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Valid driver's license.
- Conversational Spanish is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of kitchen or catering experience preferred.
- Experience in banquet or catering kitchens is a definite plus.
Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule required.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
