Substitute Preschool Teacher (Infant/Toddler & Preschool Classrooms)
Join Our Early Childhood Education Team!
We are seeking caring, flexible, and dependable Substitute Teachers to support our Infant/Toddler, and Preschool classrooms. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with children of different ages, thrive in a collaborative environment, and are passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education.
As a Substitute Preschool Teacher, you will work alongside classroom teaching teams to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while maintaining compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations and licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
Support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, transitions, and outdoor play.
Maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios and follow all EEC health and safety regulations.
Observe and document children's progress as directed.
Communicate professionally with families and staff.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Must meet Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) teacher qualifications for Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool Teacher, or be eligible to obtain qualification.
Experience working with children from infancy through preschool preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must successfully complete all required background checks and EEC-required trainings.
