The position of Night Accountability Control Officer supervises cadets in the residence life setting and ensures a safe and secure living environment. This position maintains a standard of safety and security for the campus. Individual must be able to develop strong relationships with cadets, families, and teaching faculty. This is a full-time position.
Essential Tasks:

Provide direct supervision of cadet’s well-being including physical, emotional, and spiritual.
- Mentor and counsel cadets on mature behavior, ethics and strong leadership principles

Administer discipline to cadets in violation of Academy rules set forth by the Cadet Handbook and MMA’s defined policies.

Promote healthy life choices, proper personal hygiene, and responsible decision making.

Supervise barracks life for cadets to include activities and emotional support.
- Set exemplary personal example in both appearance and conduct to include military courtesies along with executing the mission of MMA through positive role-modeling and constructive interaction with cadets.
- Ensure prompt responses to parents’ questions, inquiries and concerns

Conduct risk assessments as necessary for cadet activities and makes recommendations

Maintain accurate duty logs of any incident or event during shift

Respond to emergent situations and incidents, reporting to appropriate parties

Ensure all buildings are secure and monitor pedestrian and vehicle traffic on campus

Prior Military experience preferred – Honorable service as verified on DD214

Bachelor’s Degree preferred (will consider certain military qualification in lieu of degree)
- Abstinence from the use of tobacco and profanity when on duty.
Office Hours, Dates of Duties and Vacation

Typical working hours are 2400 to 0800, forty hours a week over a rotating schedule including weekends.

Paid Vacation will be Christmas and Spring furloughs, and two weeks between September 1st and August 31st each year. Vacation time will be at the approval of supervisor.

- The employee must occasionally move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50lbs.

The employee is frequently required to work indoors and outdoors in the heat and cold on a year-round basis.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
