Syracuse Recovery Services is a substance use outpatient, with a clinic in the city of Cortland. We are currently seeking additional support in our Cortland office. We are currently open 8am-7pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-4pm on Fridays. Schedule would vary between those hours. Regular shift would be Mondays through Thursdays 11am-7pm; Fridays 7:45am-4pm.
Job Description - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant/Office Staff:
Working under the supervision of Management, the Office Assistant will assist in the welcoming of patients, collecting co-pays, verifying insurances, aiding counselors in clerical tasks, janitorial duties , and perform other clerical duties as requested.
Job Responsibilities:
· Interact appropriately with patients, other agencies, vendors, and visitors.
· Greet Clients, maintain agency order and cleanliness, schedule appointments, verify insurances
· Manage scheduling effectively
· Assist Office Manager and other support staff with responsibilities, to include record keeping, filing, ordering, and cleaning
· Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to, copying, faxing, mailing, filing, answering phones, generating spreadsheets.
· Perform general janitorial duties to include but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, maintaining neat office environment, cleaning windows, and bathrooms.
· Other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Executive or Program Directors.
Job Requirements:
· Welcoming presentation
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to operate standard office equipment including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, copier, scanners, and facsimile machines.
· Appropriate phone etiquette
· Ability to adapt and multi-task
· Basic capabilities in MS Office, especially MS Word and Excel, will be helpful

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
