The Apex Regional Program in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking applicants for full-time positions of behavior specialist and registered behavior technician (RBT). Apex Regional provides Level 3 services for Pre-K through Grade 8 students who require special education services that are unavailable in their home school district. We have a small student-teacher ratio and a team of behavior specialists, teachers, RBTs, BCBAs and licensed therapists on staff who work together to determine treatment plans and collaborate on IEPs. Qualified applicant should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, experience working with children or disabled adults, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. For applicants interested in gaining RBT certification, training and supervision can be provided. It is an essential function to be able to meet the rigorous demands of the job, which may include: long periods of lifting, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and engaging with children on the floor or standing for long periods.
