We are currently seeking experienced Journeyman Carpenters for commercial construction projects throughout the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in wood and metal stud framing, layout, drywall installation, doors, hardware, and finish carpentry on active commercial job sites. Candidates must be able to read blueprints, work independently or with a crew, and maintain high standards for quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform wood and metal stud framing according to plans and specifications
- Install drywall, doors, frames, hardware, and interior finishes
- Complete layout, measuring, cutting, and installation of materials
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean and organized work areas on active job sites
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and jobsite protocols
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience
- Experience with framing, drywall, finish work, and tenant improvement projects
- Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate layout
- Must have basic carpentry hand tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on commercial TI projects
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience leading small crews or working as a lead carpenter
