Responsibilities

- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to access patient information and update billing records efficiently.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection efforts, working closely with insurance companies and patients to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities, including claim submissions, adjustments, and payments received.
- Stay current with healthcare claims management regulations, health insurance policies, and coding updates to ensure compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding bills, insurance coverage, and payment options.
Experience
- Previous experience in medical office administration or medical billing is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare claims processing.
- Familiarity with billing software platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems used for managing patient data and billing workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all billing activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, insurance providers, and patients to resolve issues promptly.
