Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their comfort and independence
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands as needed
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Support clients in maintaining their routines and engaging in activities that stimulate their physical and mental health
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure all client needs are met safely and effectively
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, observations, and any incidents for accurate records
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or related healthcare roles
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, post-acute care patients, or those requiring sub-acute care
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Compassionate nature with a proactive attitude toward patient safety and comfort
