The Club Director is responsible for overall daily operations of the Club, including program planning, implementation, evaluation, data management, facilities oversight, membership administration, community relations, and staff supervision. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based programs for youth ages 6–18 that support positive youth development and align with the Boys & Girls Club’s Formula for Impact.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Program Management
- Design and lead programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and support priority outcomes.
- Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure they meet member needs and organizational standards.
- Maintain a safe, positive environment across all program areas.
- Supervise and evaluate staff, providing leadership, guidance, and accountability.
- Ensure consistent discipline policies and constructive youth development practices.
- Monitor participation, attendance, and program effectiveness through regular reporting.
Program Outcomes & Evaluation
- Ensure programs align with the three priority outcome areas and five key organizational characteristics.
- Oversee daily program delivery according to established schedules and goals.
- Encourage member engagement across diverse program offerings and support skill development.
- Continuously evaluate program quality and outcomes.
Operations & Resource Management
- Maintain facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Oversee operational systems, including use of facilities by outside groups.
- Ensure accurate membership tracking and support financial processes (accounts payable/receivable).
Partnerships & Community Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and families.
- Promote Club programs to increase visibility and community engagement.
Health & Safety
- Ensure safety across all Club environments, including transportation and offsite activities.
- Identify, document, and communicate safety concerns promptly to leadership.
Additional Duties
- Support special events and cross-department programming.
- Address member issues using established guidance and discipline policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Relationships
- Internal: Work closely with staff, volunteers, members, and supervisors.
- External: Engage with parents, schools, and community partners.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in youth development or similar setting.
- Strong leadership, staff supervision, and facility management skills.
- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with youth, families, and community stakeholders.
Position Details
Full-time, exempt position. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends.
