Qualifications:
· Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current valid driver’s license to operate the transportation vehicles for the ADC
· Demonstrates sensitivity to participants needs and safety measures
· Training in First Aid and CPR
· Experience in assisting participants with impairments
· Compliance with all state requirements for licensure certification
· Training in basic transfer techniques and safe ambulation
· Must abide by State and Local laws
· Must not have had drivers license suspended or revoked for moving traffic violations in the past 5 years
· (Drivers who receive citations and are convicted of two moving violations or accidents related to transportation will not be permitted to provide transportation.)
Responsibilities and Functions:
· Responsible for transportation to and from the facility and provide escort services as needed to ensure safety measures are carried out while transporting participants
· Responsible for reporting behavioral changes or unusual incidents while participants are in their care
· Responsible for keeping accurate time records as to when participants are picked up and drop off
· Responsible for adhering to Policy and Procedures set forth by New Beginnings
· Responsible for helping serve meals, assisting with participant’s activities
· Responsible for helping participants to and from the restroom and assist with incontinent episodes
· Responsible for keeping vehicles clean and neat daily
· Responsible for performing vehicle maintenance checks weekly and reporting on the appropriate forms noting any problems that needs attention and given to the Administrator
· Other duties as assigned deemed necessary
