We're looking for a front desk receptionist to be the friendly face of our studio lobby and keep things running smoothly this season. This is a great fit for someone who feels at home in a dance studio environment, easily connects with families, and is looking for more than just a typical desk job.
Schedule:
Mondays 4:00pm-9:15pm
Tuesdays 4:00pm-9:15pm
Wednesdays 4:00pm-8:45pm
Thursdays 4:00pm-9:45pm
(approximately 21 hours/week when the studio is open)
Please note: we follow an academic-year calendar, so there are select weeks throughout the season, holidays, breaks, etc., when the studio is closed and this role will have few or no scheduled hours.
What you'll be doing:
- Serving as a welcoming point of contact for dancers and parents, and building genuine relationships that help them feel at home in the studio
- Managing communication via phone, text and email
- Handling class enrollments, new dancer registrations and payments
- Maintaining a professional presence in the studio lobby
- Keeping the lobby clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assisting with studio merchandise
- Giving tours and sharing new dancer information with potential new families
Who we're hoping to find:
Someone dependable, punctual, and professional, with real front desk, office, or customer service experience. You should be comfortable multitasking on the phone, in person, and on a computer at the same time, and comfortable in a high-energy, family-facing environment. Comfort with Google Workspace is a plus. Dance background isn't required, but familiarity with the dance studio environment is a bonus. What matters most is that you care about our dance families and creating a warm environment. We're a close-knit, team-oriented studio, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us, not just fill a shift.
Details:
Part-time, evenings only, no weekends. This position runs the full dance season, August through May. While this posting is for the current 2026-2027 dance season, there may be an opportunity to continue on for summer hours and into next season for the right person.
