Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. Duties
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize profitability and growth.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, including financial statement analysis, regulatory reporting, and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Lead risk management initiatives by conducting comprehensive risk analysis and ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and IAS (International Accounting Standards).
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships to optimize working capital.
- Drive revenue management strategies, including pricing models, revenue cycle management, and business development efforts such as fundraising for expansion projects.
- Supervise budgeting processes, financial projection model development, expense control, cost management, and profit & loss analysis to ensure fiscal health.
- Lead mergers & acquisitions activities by evaluating potential opportunities, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deals that align with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on corporate strategy development, market analysis, and long-term planning to position the organization for future success.
- Oversee financial report writing and interpretation to inform decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and manage regulatory reporting requirements across different jurisdictions.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles such as Finance Director or CFO within complex organizations or industries with strict regulatory environments.
- Extensive background in corporate finance, strategic planning, and financial analysis with demonstrated success in managing large-scale budgets and forecasts.
- Strong knowledge of financial software systems, technical accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), and industry-specific regulations including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and SOX compliance.
- Hands-on experience in mergers & acquisitions, fundraising initiatives, and business development activities.
- Expertise in risk analysis, risk management frameworks like COSO, and developing comprehensive financial projection models.
- Supervisory experience overseeing teams in areas such as accounting, treasury management, payroll management, cost control, and supply chain finance.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a deep understanding of governmental accounting practices for nonprofit or public sector organizations if applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial statements and concepts while communicating insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on strategic management, team development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial practices.
