Michigan Protein, Inc. is looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to provide general labor. Hours are generally 8am-5pm.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Assists in daily operations.
- Maintains efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received.
- Evaluates and correct all mechanical problems within the plant.
- Possesses the ability to operate all plant production equipment at a high standard to ensure efficient production of premium quality finished products.
- Communicates and plans effectively regarding any mechanical or technical issues with any area of the plant.
- Records all process quality control and environmental monitors in logs suitable for submission to governing authorities.
- Ensures that procedures are being held to highest standards.
- Responsible for the quality of all finished products and determines any reason for loss of quality.
- Responsible for being familiar with and observing all Company safety rules and regulations, recognizes safety as top Company priority and conducting regularly scheduled safety meetings.
- Conducts investigation of accidents that occur within jurisdiction.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required:

Knowledge of bobcat/forklift operation is a plus. Plumbing and mechanical knowledge is a plus. Pressure washer experience is a plus. Painting experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand/sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions may be carried out inside a rendering facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and/ or cold temperatures. Job functions may be carried out outdoors which requires tolerance for, preparation of, and wearing protection for exposure to sunlight.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
