About Fire + Fig Interiors Fire + Fig Interiors is a Charleston-based commercial interior design studio working across multifamily, BTR development, student housing, model homes, and boutique hospitality. The Role We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Office Manager & Purchasing Agent to join our downtown Charleston studio. This is a full-time, in-office position that directly supports our design team. You will be the operational backbone behind our projects, managing purchasing end-to-end, maintaining vendor relationships, and keeping the studio running smoothly day to day.
Purchasing & Procurement
- Place and manage purchase orders across all vendor categories including furniture, fabric, artwork, custom pieces, workroom, and warehouse
- Track orders from confirmation through delivery, proactively flagging lead time changes and delays
- Maintain organized records of all open orders, confirmations, and invoices
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships across trade, workroom, and logistics partners
- Coordinate with the design team on spec changes, substitutions, and reorders
- Assist in preparing client purchase presentations and budget tracking
Office Operations
- Open the studio and manage day-to-day office needs including supplies, sample library organization, and general upkeep
- Support scheduling, communications, and operational needs as they arise
- Be a reliable, adaptable team member willing to wear different hats as the studio grows
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Canva
- Familiarity with Programa or ability to learn quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple open orders simultaneously
- Proactive, self-directed work style
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior purchasing or procurement experience, ideally in a design or creative studio
- Experience with HubSpot
- Familiarity with interior design trade vendors, lead times, and workroom processes
- Experience in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Genuine interest in interior design and the built environment

Compensation $50,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Full-time, in-office. Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Located at 579 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC.
