Responsibilities
- Lead by example with advanced skills in hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to deliver top-tier services.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members on techniques such as the straight razor shave, hair threading, and retail upselling strategies.
- Manage salon operations including appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY, front desk duties, and store management tasks.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards across all services to ensure client safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Foster a welcoming environment by delivering exceptional customer service, addressing client needs, and building lasting relationships.
- Drive retail sales through effective upselling of products related to hair care, cosmetics, nail care, and retail math principles.
- Oversee inventory management and assist in retail merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Support team development through mentoring initiatives and ongoing education on trends such as color theory and new styling techniques.
Experience
- Proven expertise in cosmetology or barbering with a strong portfolio demonstrating skills in hair styling, coloring, extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care.
- Extensive experience using salon software platforms like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with previous store management or team mentoring roles in a salon or barbershop setting.
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols specific to beauty services to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients on services and product recommendations effectively.
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to meet sales targets.
- Ability to perform detailed work such as straight razor shaves and hair threading with precision and professionalism.
