Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer/CAD Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in our manufacturing processes. This role combines engineering expertise with advanced CAD skills to optimize production, improve efficiency, and support our continuous improvement initiatives. BASIC DUTIES:
To perform all duties of a CAD Designer and perform other tasks as assigned or requested.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to: Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
POSITION DUTIES:
1. Design, fixtures and tooling to produce desired features to customers requirements taking into consideration manufacturing process as determined by CNC programming requirements to be used, and staying within given budgets.
2. Produce necessary detail drawings and component lists to manufacture and inspect componentry to desired results.
3. Assist toolmakers with any print clarifications to achieve desired results.
4. Recommend action to Toolmakers to correct any fixture or tool discrepancies.
5. Request quotes for weldments, fixture materials and components.
6. Verify inventory of components on hand and forward needed components to purchasing.
7. Assist toolmakers in the manufacture of components or tools when needed.
8. When assigned, prepare multiple layouts, renditions or variations to evaluate possible process options.
9. Ability to design fixtures within the given budget.
Education and Training
Four year degree or two year degree plus two years experience, or 4 years of
progressive experience in an engineering or manufacturing field.
Advanced print reading, and GD & T skills and proficient knowledge of Auto
Cad. Ability to clearly communicate with employees, peers, management, and suppliers.
Thorough knowledge of machining and assembly processes. Superior mechanical aptitude.

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
