Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 3rd shift Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse activities, ensure smooth operations, and lead our team toward continuous process improvement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage logistics, inventory control, and team leadership within a fast-paced distribution setting. The Warehouse Lead will be instrumental in maintaining safety standards, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting overall warehouse management.
Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and inventory management.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity goals while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards across all warehouse activities.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to facilitate timely distribution center operations and shipping schedules.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, operations, or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Skilled in process improvement methodologies such as lean management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Ability to operate heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent team management, leadership, and managerial communication skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and materials handling best practices.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures within a distribution center environment.
- Capable of performing physical tasks including heavy lifting as required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage warehouse operations effectively while fostering a positive team environment.
