We are looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our growing team as a Showroom Coordinator. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping customers find the perfect flooring solutions for their homes.
Position Summary -
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Fort Wayne, IN. The Showroom Coordinator is the first impression of our company and plays a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience. This position is responsible for welcoming customers, answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, assisting with flooring selections, maintaining an inviting showroom, and supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities -
Front Office & Customer Service:
- Greet every customer with a warm, professional, and welcoming attitude.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
- Route calls to the appropriate team member or department.
- Respond to customer inquiries received by phone, email, website, and walk-in traffic.
- Schedule free in-home measurements and consultations through walk-in customers, online inquiries, and phone calls.
- Confirm appointments and communicate scheduling updates as needed.
Showroom Coordination & Sales Support:
- Assist new and existing customers in finding flooring solutions that fit their style, needs, and budget.
- Guide customers through flooring products displayed throughout the showroom.
- Locate additional flooring products, colors, and styles that are not currently on display.
- Help customers with flooring, color, and design selections.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of flooring products, installation processes, and current promotions.
- Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure customers receive a seamless experience from their first visit through project completion.
Showroom Coordination & Sales Support:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom at all times.
- Ensure flooring samples, displays, signage, and product literature are neatly arranged and fully stocked.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including:
- Vacuuming showroom flooring
- Mopping hard surface floors
- Dusting displays, sample racks, and shelving
- Straightening customer seating areas and workspaces
- Assist with setting up and refreshing showroom displays as products change.
Administrative Support:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate customer records.
- File paperwork and organize office documents.
- Tag, organize, and maintain flooring sample inventory.
- Prepare customer packets, sales materials, and miscellaneous documents.
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties and office projects as assigned.
- Support the Sales and Production teams with daily operational tasks.
Qualifications & Skills -
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, reception, or office administration required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, Google Suite, and email.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
