Extreme Technology & Security is headquartered in Weatherford, Texas. Interviews for this position will be conducted at our Weatherford office.
The primary work location for this position will be a long-term data center project in Red Oak, Texas. Employees will report directly to the project site once hired.
Please Note: Daily travel to and from the project site is the responsibility of the employee.
Position Overview
Extreme Technology & Security is seeking a Lead Structured Cabling Technician for a long-term data center project in Red Oak, Texas.
We are looking for an experienced technician who can lead a two-person crew while maintaining quality workmanship, organization, and production standards.
The primary focus of this position will be pulling, labeling, routing, and dressing low-voltage cabling in a large-scale data center environment.
This is not a typical low-voltage service position. The selected technician will primarily work on a dedicated project site with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured cabling, working from plans, maintaining quality standards, and helping lead a crew.
If the right candidate is available before the project start date, additional work may be available on commercial low-voltage projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities
- Read and follow construction drawings and cable schedules
- Lead a two-person installation crew
- Pull, route, label, and dress low-voltage cabling
- Maintain cable identification and documentation standards
- Ensure quality workmanship and project consistency
- Coordinate daily activities with project management
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all site safety requirements and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience pulling and dressing large quantities of cable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous lead technician or crew lead experience
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Experience with large-scale structured cabling projects
- Basic networking knowledge
- Lift experience is a plus
Safety & Work Environment
This project is being performed on a professionally managed construction site with a strong focus on safety.
- Ladders Last safety policy
- Lifts and scaffolding utilized whenever possible
- PPE required at all times
- Hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, and work boots required
- Safety training and compliance are mandatory
- Clean, organized, and professional work environment
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on project needs
- Reports directly to the Red Oak project site
