The Role:
Arena | Modern opens this summer on the 17th floor of The Modern in Rainey — a 10,000-square-foot private floor housing thirty of Austin's most active venture investors and operators while our Gibson Street flagship is renovated.
The floor is small enough that one person can know every member by name and run an experience that genuinely feels like a club. That person is this role.
What You'll Own:
Food & Coffee: Daily lunch support (we have culinary team) the coffee bar, vendor coordination, restock, and bar service for events. The most visible thing you'll do.
Front Desk: The warm welcome, visitor flow, fobs, room booking, first-line AV, mail and packages. You are the face of the floor.
The House: Open and close, supply and kitchen restock to par, cleaning, plant-vendor coordination, and the small fixes before anyone notices.
Events: Tours, happy hours, and LP dinners — including the building's private dining room and chef's kitchen. You set up, run service, and reset.
Building: Guest parking validation and the day-to-day relationship with the garage and building concierge team.
You're a Strong Fit If:
- 3+ years in a private club, high-end restaurant FOH, boutique hotel, or executive-tier hospitality operation
- You've owned a daily food or beverage program — vendor management, ordering, service, clean-down
- You can read a room of sophisticated, time-pressed people without being asked
- Comfortable with room booking systems, AV troubleshooting, and writing SOPs
- Hands-on by default — you'll lift, restock, and clean; this job is not above any of it
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
