Senior Food Service Lead
We are seeking an experienced Senior Food Service Lead to oversee daily operations in a newly built, state-of-the-art industrial school kitchen. This individual will lead kitchen operations, meal production, food safety, and workflow while ensuring compliance with CACFP and health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations and meal preparation.
- Operate commercial/industrial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with CACFP, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Oversee food quality, inventory, and kitchen organization.
- Support and provide direction to the food service team.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a school cafeteria or institutional kitchen is REQUIRED.
- Hands-on experience operating commercial/industrial kitchen equipment is REQUIRED.
- Experience leading daily operations in a high-volume food service environment is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of CACFP and child nutrition requirements.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Certifications
- ServSafe or Food Handler Certification required.
- First Aid/CPR preferred (must obtain within 60 days if not already certified).
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
