About the Role:
We are seeking a Solution Architect to provide technical leadership on an enterprise Investment Data Warehouse (IDW) platform with Generative Business Intelligence (GenBI), AI, and ML capabilities. This role will architect scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud solutions and guide implementation of AI/ML and GenAI use cases across a Snowflake and AWS ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and guide the design of GenBI, AI/ML, and agentic AI use cases deployed to the data warehouse platform
- Lead cloud architecture decisions across multi-tier applications, enterprise integrations, and migrations
- Apply AI infrastructure, agentic workflow/orchestration, and Generative AI design pattern expertise to key initiatives
- Design high-availability, fault-tolerant systems and drive cost optimization strategies across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments
- Design microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven/API-based architecture
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, and act as liaison among business stakeholders, developers, and vendor teams
- Analyze emerging technologies and market trends, and recommend solutions aligned with future platform needs
- Ensure compliance with applicable technology governance, security, and AI governance standards
- Support knowledge transfer to internal staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Information Technology, including roles such as technical developer/lead, software engineer, application architect, or enterprise architect
- 10+ years applying open/non-proprietary SDLC methodology to lead technical aspects of solution/software implementation projects, collaborating closely with IT divisions and business stakeholders on standards, processes, and best practices
- 7+ years architecting, designing, and implementing AI/ML use cases or GenAI solutions
- 5+ years leading cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for large or complex environments (multi-tier applications, enterprise integrations, or migrations), with proven end-to-end solution delivery
- 3+ years designing high-availability, fault-tolerant systems and cost optimization strategies across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
- 2+ years working with AI infrastructure and agentic workflows/orchestration, Generative AI design patterns, cloud strategy and FinOps, hybrid/multi-cloud systems, and security/compliance (AI Governance)
- 2+ years designing microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven/API-based architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud/GenAI architecture certifications such as Snowflake SnowPro Advanced – Architect, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- 2+ years providing IT consulting services in technical solution implementations to large public or governmental agencies
- Experience supervising implementation using industry standards such as PMI/PMBOK, Scaled Agile Framework, or IEEE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Work Arrangement:
This position requires onsite work 3 days per week in West Sacramento, CA, with the remainder worked remotely. Schedule is subject to business needs.
Pay: From $110.00 per hour
