Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and monitoring animals throughout their stay
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and organization
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Assist with pet boarding procedures, including intake, check-out, and record keeping
- Observe animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly
- Assist with outdoor activities like walking dogs or supervising playtime to promote physical activity and mental stimulation
Requirements
- Prior experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, pet sitting, or kennel environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and restraint methods preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when moving supplies or large animals safely
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Experience in pet grooming, dog training, or animal care is a plus
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks regularly
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitization standards for pet care facilities
