Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity begins in early September, following board approval, and offers a full-time schedule for the entire academic year. You’ll play an integral role in partnering with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to help students achieve their communication goals.
Your key qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility in North Carolina
- Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong organization and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and desire to make a difference
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering speech therapy sessions to students under the supervision of an SLP
- Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized IEP goals
- Collecting data and documenting student progress
- Supporting communication and language skills in classroom or small group settings
- Communicating regularly with SLPs, teachers, and families
- Adapting to evolving caseload details, with updates expected after the August 19th enrollment/caseload meeting
