We’re seeking a positive, friendly, team-oriented and customer service driven Cook to assemble, prepare, and portion food for people supported and staff. With our Cook position we offer flexible hours, training, and growth opportunities.
Some of the daily tasks that the Cook will encounter include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible for daily meals for individuals supported, employees, and guests/visitors
- Follows standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare, store and use food
- Measures, weights, counts and divides out hot foods by delivery site
- Cooks hot items for contract meals
- Participate in meal preparation for special events and group functions
- Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
- Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation
- Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, steamer, food grinders, and more
- Provides excellent customer service

High school diploma/GED required. Educational food production courses are preferred. Two years of experience in school/healthcare setting is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. ServeSafe certification is preferred. Prior experience working with children with disabilities or challenging behaviors preferred. All positions require a clear background check and drug screen upon conditional offer.
