Job Summary: Principal responsibilities are to develop new real estate business, including loan, treasury management and deposit products, by working directly with customers and prospects. Will also assist commercial lenders with real estate loans when it comes to legal structure, legal compliance issues, financial analysis, and knowledge needed to originate a real estate loan. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s character qualities.
Essential Functions:

- Provide support and understanding of the legal issues related to lending on real estate transactions, property ownership, ownership entities, real estate title policies, environmental issues, environmental compliance, appraisal issues, and appraisal compliance.
- Assist in reviewing loan documents related to the contractual lending agreements on new and renewal commercial real estate loans.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all requirements for proper compliance with deadlines and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of the laws and requirements to originate and manage a commercial lending portfolio.
- Administer a portfolio of loans originated maintaining asset quality and conducting appropriate collection efforts.
- Refer prospects to Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, Treasury Management and Wealth Management.
- Lending authority will be commensurate with lending experience.
Education and Experience: Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business; preferably a major in General Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Prefer three years of credit analysis, commercial lending, or commercial real estate lending experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Skills required are financial analysis, sales, relationship management and involvement in community activities, along with good communication skills, verbal and written. The person in this position should be able to interview the customer and structure non-complex loans with limited supervision. Basic computer skills for spreadsheet preparation, word processing, and power point presentations. Knowledge of business and personal deposit, treasury management, and loan products including SBA requirements are required.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Nationwide Mortgage Lending System Registered or ability to meet qualifications for registration.
Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions: Normal office conditions. Some travel required.
